Welcome back to Nirvana Sisters. It's Amy and Katie and we are back with a Product Junkies, which we haven't done in a while. We took a bit of a hiatus over the summer. So excited to get back into like all the products that we love. Good to see you, Katie. Good to see you.

It's exciting. We're getting back into the swing. Getting back into the swing. I'm going to kick it off to you first to give us your first latest product that you're loving.

SPEAKER_01:

Okay. Well, today my first one is a little bit of a departure because we usually always do beauty, wellness, skincare. I think we've done things a little bit in this realm before. We've done some fashion before. Fashion. So this is a clothing reveal and it is what I have on. It's so cute.

SPEAKER_00:

I was going to say something when I saw you.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, I actually found this when we were in Bethany Beach. Little set, like a short set. So cute. And I found this at one of the boutiques there in Bethany and it is so comfortable and light and airy. The brand is called Ocean Drive. Oh yeah I know that brand. Yeah they have super cute stuff and I feel like the price point is really pretty good too. So I love their stuff. They have a big variety on their website. Everything from like sets like this to crochet sets to like sweats and it's just really like it's great for lounging around the house or for by the pool. I mean I know summer's coming to an end but if you're in a warmer climate I've been checking them out.

SPEAKER_00:

It sounds like they have sweats and stuff too. So love a set.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, they do. They do. They have, they have a good variety. They have some cute dresses, but it's just like, it's really fun, easy resort wear type stuff. Very cute. Yeah. So fun one.

SPEAKER_00:

Very cute. What's your first one? Okay so my first one I'll do close to since we're on that topic and this is actually something that I bought with you this summer when I was visiting and it's the best thing ever which is the Rag & Bone Miramar Wide Leg Pants which I'm obsessed with. Okay so I'm sure you guys or maybe maybe you have or maybe you haven't seen these but they're jean sweats which is the perfect combination for me so They literally look like jeans, but they're sweats, and I've worn them out at night. I've worn them to work. I wear them around all the time, and they just look like a wide leg jean, and they're so cool. I actually got another pair, Katie, just like a lighter pair. So I have one kind of darker pair and one lighter pair, and they're just like a wide leg. They're great. I mean, they totally look like jeans. And so you can just like be comfortable while everybody else is in their like fitted, uncomfortable jeans. So yeah, it's been one of my new favorites. So it's it's the rag and bone Miramar wide leg pant. But they also have other Miramar, I guess, is this like jean sweat texture, but they also have different ones. They have like joggers and some tops and all sorts of things in the line, which is interesting.

SPEAKER_01:

Nice. So the Miramar is like the jeans sweat.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, that it must be like the fabric, because if you look on their website, it has it has like all the mirror Mars and there's the wide leg ones, which I like. But then there's also the joggers. There's full length.

SPEAKER_01:

There's there's something when you bought them. I love them. You would never in a million years know that they are sweatpants. I know somebody's like really, really close. like all up in your business looking at them, we're like, oh, I like your jeans and like goes to feel them. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00:

You know what to tell. It's like it's the kind of thing. It's like if you know, you know, because like I was wearing them to work and my friend that I work with is like, oh, are those the rag and bone jeans? Like people that know them, know them, but people that don't, whatever. And it's just like it's like the perfect combination. Yeah, I love that.

SPEAKER_01:

So anyway, I love that. If you know, you know, because when you see somebody that knows you get like a little head nod to me, everyone's like, yeah, I got you.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah. Someone actually at work actually told me about them. And I don't know how old she is, but she's younger. And she was like, oh, yeah, these are my life. I wear them for everything. And I'm like, oh, my God, good call. So then, of course, I copied her and I bought them.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, I need to get a pair. Okay, let's see.

SPEAKER_00:

By the way, side note, I got this yesterday at my parents' house, the Soojer Organic Ginger Love Cold-Pressed Drink. It's amazing. Is it good? It's purified water, lemon, ginger, pineapple. It's so good. It's like one gram of sugar and it's so refreshing. I love it. Just as a little side note. Anyway, go on.

SPEAKER_01:

I could really use one of those today because as you know, I had quite the night last night. So, you know. hurting a little bit, but what's our motto? We always say, like, things in moderation. Exactly. And it's Friday, so hey. Here's my next one. It is by the brand HiSmile. Are you familiar with this brand? They make toothpaste. and teeth whitening.

SPEAKER_00:

Oh, I think you showed me this when we were together. Yes. So this one.

SPEAKER_01:

So cool. It's their gloss stick. No, I'm sorry. Their glow stick tooth gloss. And it's interesting because. It's you put it on your teeth and it's not going to show up here. Yeah. It's a great midday brightener. whitener, you know, like I go into the city and I have coffee, I can use this afterwards. And it just kind of makes your teeth extra shiny and almost a little glossy. Like they just look like they've been brightened up. Does it make them white? Yeah, I think so. I think it gives an impression of, like, of whiter. Oh, okay. Or brighter. Yeah. It leaves, like, a little bit of this residue, which kind of feels funny. And I can't tell if people have ever noticed it, but no one's ever said anything like, hey, what's on your teeth? I think when I showed it to you, you and I were, like, we were sitting in a car really close to each other. Yeah. And I noticed that, but Like, had I not done it right in front of you, I don't think you would have noticed it.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, I'm sure I wouldn't have. So is it uncomfortable when you put it on or it just like sinks in after a couple of minutes?

SPEAKER_01:

It sinks in after a little bit. It's just like a fun little, little tool to have to kind of brighten your smile. It says the instant brightening wand glow stick is an instant teeth brightener that's peroxide free designed to work exactly like makeup, but for your teeth. It adds a pearlescent glow to your teeth. That's a good way to put it.

SPEAKER_00:

Pearlescent. Pearlescent glow. Yeah. Don't they have like, um, toothpaste and whiteners, and I've never tried their stuff, but I feel like you've reviewed something else from them before, potentially. Like a purple toothpaste or something?

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah. It's like the purple toothpaste that does like almost instant whitening. Yeah. Yeah. I was using that for a little while, but now I love my

SPEAKER_00:

um the teeth whitening strips from that natural brand that we really like oh like that girl girl ananda i think yeah you're those before okay so that's a little like a little pick-me-up if you're going out at night or whatever my next product is this day cactus fruit three-in-one styling wand have you seen this So freaking genius. So, you know, when you, well, you don't get this as much cause you don't have curly, like frizzy hair like me, but, or actually you could use it on flyaways. Check this out. This is a, so it's like if you have little frizzies, you just kind of smooth them out with this. So I'm taking this wand for our listeners and putting it over the top of my hair. And it's, it's, I think it's just like conditioner in this bottle or some sort of leave in like conditioner that's good for flyaways, but the applicator, applicator. And the applicator is the best part because it's like makes it really easy to just kind of like smooth out the frizz. So I use this all the time now. So a lot of times when you get your hair blown out and sometimes you have those like flyaways, this helps to tame the flyaways or it helps to tame the frizz or if you have a bun in, something like that. Yeah. It's amazing.

SPEAKER_01:

Let's open the applicator up again because it looks like a giant spoolie. You know, it is your for your mascara. It's basically a version of that. That's so cool.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, it's like a huge spoolie and it's like soft and it just gets the product on there really good. And then you can just put it on the flyaways and it totally, totally like mats them down and like you're ready to go. It's so good. You could like keep it in your purse, whatever. I just because sometimes I hate when I blow out my hair and then I go out that night because I feel like there's like pieces coming up. And this has totally solved that problem along with when I just throw my hair back. So this is such a good one. I love it.

SPEAKER_01:

Nice. So good if you want to do a slick bun.

SPEAKER_00:

And you want to just smooth those sides. Yeah. Obsessed. What's the brand again? Day. I have some of the other hair products. Yeah. Very good.

SPEAKER_01:

Just check it out. Okay. My next one is a tried and true classic that is going to be in my repertoire for many, many years to come. One of my main go-to brands. It's my La Roche-Posay body cream. Oh, as you know, I've been using their face stuff. I love their face stuff. Yeah. Moisturizer. It's the lip car. A P plus M. Not sure what that means. Triple repair moisturizing cream. Uh, it says it's up to 48 hours of hydration and it totally is. It is so good. It is so it's very rich and hydrating without leaving like a filminess or like Yeah, it's so hydrating. And like, it's very thick and rich. But you know how you know, like the Nivea like that, the Nivea pot that comes to me? Yeah, you it feel like it feels you feel it on your skin after you've used it almost. Yeah, almost too much. Yeah, doesn't feel like that. This just soaks in, but it leaves you hydrated. I mean, I tonight like my shoulders will still look like moisturized. And my skin feels great. Madeline once told me she was sitting on my lap and she fell off of my lap and she goes, oh my God, you're like lotion.

SPEAKER_00:

You're slippery. That's so funny. Does it smell?

SPEAKER_01:

No, which is another key and has no scent at all.

SPEAKER_00:

Oh, I love that. And what's the consistency? Does it feel thick or thin?

SPEAKER_01:

It is thicker than, what can I compare it to? I've reviewed that Trader Joe's cream that they don't have anymore. It's thick. It's like a medium thick weight. It's not like the kind of thing where you put your finger through and a gigantic dollop comes out. It's not that thick. But it's really nice on. Initially, it can feel a little I don't want to use a red greasy, but it's just your moisture. Yeah, that's good. And to give it a little time to sink in. And once it does, it's phenomenal.

SPEAKER_00:

You know, I do not use moisturizer anymore. I only use oil. You know, yeah, you've told me. And I, it has like changed my skin. I get, my skin is just not dry anymore at all. I mean, we'll see this winter, but I've been using oil. I feel like for years now, just like right when I get out of the shower, I like, we'll do it in the shower. And it's just, I mean, same thing. It keeps my skin so moisturized. So I like, I'm not in the moisturizer market because I just use oil now.

SPEAKER_01:

You know, I need to try one of your oils. I've tried to find an oil just when I was at like CVS and they were all so overly scented. Right. That's the problem.

SPEAKER_00:

I didn't sign. I've reviewed some before that are unscented, but OK. That's good to know, though, because sometimes you can mix an oil and a cream together and that also feels good.

SPEAKER_01:

Right. And this, this, like, I don't, I don't know, what would you consider this price point for this big of a thing? It's huge. It's huge. And it easily lasts me a month, I would say maybe even longer for $20. Yeah. I don't think that's bad for $20. No, that's not bad at all. That's cheap. Very affordable for a good quality lotion. So, I mean, you can get something, of course, this size at CVS for like $8, but it's just not going to be as good.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah. And they sell La Roche at CVS usually. Yeah, that's right.

SPEAKER_01:

That's where I pick it up. So yeah, exactly. You can go either way.

SPEAKER_00:

My next one, I've been using this now for a few months. It's the Anua Heartleaf 77% Soothing Toner. It's a Korean brand and it's so good. I think I bought this one on Amazon, but there's a few places you can buy it. But it's such a good toner. I put it on morning and night. It's the first thing I put on. It's super lightweight, almost like water, but it's so hydrating and like refreshes the skin. It gives a glow. It's a really good toner. I hadn't really been using a toner. I've been mostly using, I feel like I always use serums and like vitamin C serum and just different serums on my face before I put on my moisturizer and sunscreen and stuff. But this really helps. It's like a good base just to put on before I put on anything else. It's so refreshing. So I love it. It's this Inua. All of the Korean skincare. Yeah, I have. I have. I also have another one. I'm not reviewing it today. I do like it. It's like a milky toner that I use after this, which is also really good. I just forgot to actually bring that one in. And I think it's the same brand. But yeah, I'm really into that. I'm really into it. It's so good.

SPEAKER_01:

I'll have to try it. I like my Caudalie toner, but I'm always open.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah. This is the Caudalie, like the milky toner or the.

SPEAKER_01:

No, it's not. It's the it's the, you know, you know, pure, I think I want to say.

SPEAKER_00:

Oh, OK. Yeah. Try this and see. And this one's I don't remember how much it was, but it's not expensive. It's on Amazon. It's great.

SPEAKER_01:

All right, well, I'm saving my very, very best for last because it is really good. It's going to blow your mind. Stop. Going to blow your mind. So it is a little viral, so you might have seen it. I'm not sure. Maybe it's a Peter Thomas Roth Instant Firm X Temporary Face Tightener. Have you seen this yet?

SPEAKER_00:

For the face or for the eyes? I feel like I've seen one for the eyes.

SPEAKER_01:

No one for the eyes. This one's for the face, but you can use it around the eyes as well. Oh, my God. I haven't seen it now. It legitimately like freezes your face. It's wild. Like I put it around. I mean, I look so puffy and miserable today, but I'll I'll do a demo for for the gram. I put it around my eyes and it instantly like goes like this. Oh, my God. me up and then even I can I even like feel like like all my wrinkles and everything like tighten up I mean it really legitimately works and then you have to let it dry before you do any other steps. Okay. So if you let it dry then you do then I do like very gently put like eye cream on top and very gently put my skincare like my my face cream on top and my sunscreen on top And then let that all dry and then you can put your makeup on and it won't pill. If you put too much on, you can almost see it and you can almost wipe it away. Okay. It's finessing to it, but it really does work. And then it leaves it. Then it's almost like a primer also under your makeup. So it's like your skin just has a really nice. What is it called again? the Instant Firmex Temporary Face Tightener. But it's so funny because you put it on and you like, can't move. That's so weird. Yeah. And you just, you keep like a, you keep your face just totally still. Can you smile? I feel like it won't work. It's like, I don't know. You have to wait for it to dry to move your face. It's so funny. It really works. And how long does it last for? I mean, I feel like when I wear it, I kind of can tell the difference all day. I really can. And like until you wash it off? Yeah. Yeah. Oh my God. Yeah, I really can. I have to try that. For Instagram, maybe I'll just go like really heavy so you can really see the effect.

SPEAKER_00:

I want to see, yeah, like a before and after. Yeah. Like do it on the thing and then like speed it up. So like it probably takes like five minutes to dry or something.

SPEAKER_01:

Not even. But yeah, yeah, yeah. I'll do it. It's good too. So it says instantly tightens, firms and smooths the appearance of fine lines and deep wrinkles. and pores, which that I have noticed. It definitely minimizes pores to help you look years younger all day long. It's vitamin C, E, pro-vitamin B5, and it's for all skin types. I mean, they always say that, so of course you want to test it and be careful, but it's funny. It really does work. I saw this woman do it, and I was shocked. And she did it in real time. She let you watch it dry, and you could see it. It says, remain expressionless. Dry within three to seven minutes. It probably just depends on how much you put on. Okay. Face feels pulled in tight. Look in the mirror at this moment and you'll look years younger.

SPEAKER_00:

Oh my God, that's so funny. Wait, and you have to put it on before everything? I feel like it would be good to put on top because then it's like you don't have to touch it.

SPEAKER_01:

I think that it wouldn't work on top of the lotions and everything. I do. my vitamin c and i really let that sink in yeah let me do it and then i just very and also I don't think makeup would apply nicely to it as the final piece. I see what you're saying. Yeah. You need the eye cream and the lotion. But instead of going like this, I kind of do this a little bit more and pat the lotions and everything on so it doesn't mess with the eye cream.

SPEAKER_00:

Oh my God. So it just basically looks like you just got Botox or something? It really kind of does. That's so cool. I have to try it. How much is it? Forty nine dollars. OK. They last a long time now. It seems like you don't need a lot.

SPEAKER_01:

I do not use a lot because when you use too much, then it starts to mess with your makeup. And this bottle still feels full. And I've had it for like maybe two months or so.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah. Yeah. I've seen that brands I've seen the eye one that they have that like reduces that eye puffiness. But that's great for face. That's amazing. Yeah. It's very cool. OK, I got to try it. Um, was that your fourth? Yep. That's it. Okay. All right. But last but not least, I have a little grand finale of lip glosses that I've been using this summer moving into fall. So I'll just do a quick roundup. Okay. Starting with the Patrick Ta, this is the freaking can't see anything. Hold on. I don't know what this is called. Oh yeah, this is the Patrick Ta major volume, Plumping. gloss, I think it says. I forget what this color's called, but I'll post what the color's called. But so good. I probably wore this when I was with you a lot this summer, but it's like a plumping gloss. It doesn't feel like it's burning your lips. You know how some of those, like some of these, like I've tried the Fenty Beauty one. I've tried a lot of them and they always bother me. It feels like peppers on my lips and it's so uncomfortable. This one does not feel that way, at least for me. And the texture is like thick and like yummy. It's so good. I love it. I want to try some of the other colors, but it's a really good plumping gloss. It stays on. It's very thick and all the colors are beautiful. So Patrick Ta. Then I have my other, which I kind of actually It's tied, but I might like these better. The Lawless Plumping, Smoothing, Nourishing Forget the Filler Gloss. Okay. I have two colors here. These two colors I really like. I'll put what they are. One's kind of like, I think it's called like a lavender glaze or something. And it's like a purpley, pinky, sheerish kind of color. And this one's like more of like a metallic, but it's, it's like a pinkish metallic. So a lot of these with these, I'll do them on top of a lipstick. I also wear them plain all the time. Like I'll throw one on now, just so you can see. Oh, that's cute. This one has like a metallic, which I like. First of all, this smells so good. Second, I like like a thick feeling product on my lips. Like it feels like Like it doesn't feel like a mask, but it just feels thicker and like, I don't know, so moisturizing. And again, this one, I don't feel anything on my lips. I don't feel any stinging, any anything. It's very, like it says, it's very nourishing and it's a plumper and a smoother and it's so good. And I think this one. is the kind of thing, and I don't know exactly what's in it, but I do believe it's clean, but if you keep using this, supposedly it's supposed to help with the fine lines and wrinkles on your mouth and all of that. This one's a little bit more of a skincare kind of lip plumper, whereas the other one is just kind of like a, you know, regular lipstick. Anyway, these are really, really good. And they have a ton of different colors. I have these two and I love them. And again, I wear them plain or over lipstick. But these have been my favorite lately. So first it was the Patrick Todd, then I found these. So I'm like, you know, circulating them. And then the last one in the, in the lip set is this Anastasia Beverly Hills lip. I don't even know what this is called. It's yeah, lip velvet. Okay. So this is really, really pretty. This is more like a lipstick, but it's just in this, in this kind of a lip gloss container, but I'll show you the color. It's matte. Yeah. See this color?

SPEAKER_01:

That's pretty. That's a great.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, so this color specifically is called Pale Mauve. And it's matte and it's a really, really pretty velvety matte lip gloss. So what I do is I mean, not lip gloss, lipstick. And there's a lot in this bottle. So what I'll do is I'll do this and then I'll do one of these on top. I'll do it on my hand because whatever. So I'll do this pink one on top.

SPEAKER_01:

Is it drying on its own? Like, you know, some matte lip products can really dry out your lips.

SPEAKER_00:

No, it's not drying. That's why. So I put these two together and you can kind of see gives it a little shimmer, a little metallic. It's so pretty. But anyway, no, it's that's that's the reason why I like this. It's matte and super pretty, but it's not drying. It doesn't have that like matte lipstick feeling. It's very creamy. So anyway, that's been my latest rotation of lip glosses as always. I'm always testing and trying different lip glosses, but these four are like my go-tos. The Patrick Ta, the Lawless Forget the Filler, and the Anastasia Beverly Hills Lip Velvet. So that's my roundup.

SPEAKER_01:

Love it. We'll have to tag Chef Whitney Aronoff. Do you remember she was saying she is ready to do a lip gloss overhaul? You remember her saying that? Oh, I don't remember. You said she loves, loves, loves lip glosses and always has them around and we asked her what her favorite ones were and she said, you know what? I don't want to report any right now because I need to do an overhaul.
